Dawn Hopkins is the Founder and President of Inspiritus Yoga: Wholistic Wellness & Training Centers, an international yoga school providing yoga teacher training, continuing education, and yoga education programs with training centers in the US and Canada. She is also the Co-Founder of The Retreat Ladies: Inspired Wellness Journeys, provider of yoga and wellness retreats providing experiences designed to help women heal and recover from the stress and demands of daily life in a safe and welcoming community. Dawn is a Master Yoga Instructor, Yoga Teacher Trainer, Yoga Therapist, Thai Yoga Massage and Reiki Practitioner, Licensed Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Facilitator, and Wellness Coach.

Dawn has been helping people improve their health and wellness since 2002 when she owned and operated a women’s fitness franchise. Dawn began taking yoga classes in 1997 to counter the effects of years of athletics on her body. She didn’t enjoy yoga at first because she was so used to intensity and competition and the slow mindful pace was foreign to her. As she began to experience the myriad of benefits of yoga, her love for yoga grew…as did her love and appreciation for her body. Dawn was also introduced to the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating program in 2002. After battling an eating disorder in her youth, the residual “restrictive mindset” and body image challenges remained. Mindful Eating helped her heal and transform her relationship with food and her body. She knew then it was her life’s calling to help empower others to find healing, transformation, and improved wellness through yoga, mindfulness, and other healing practices.

Dawn completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2006 and began teaching immediately thereafter. She became a licensed Am I Hungry? Facilitator the same year and began facilitating mindful eating workshops. In 2009, she founded The Living Well Retreats and began facilitating yoga and wellness retreats. In 2011, she co-founded The Center for Living Well, a 501C3 non-profit yoga and wellness center, and launched their 200 hour yoga teacher training program. In 2017, she founded Inspiritus Yoga: Wholistic Wellness and Training Centers to provide quality yoga teacher training and yoga education programs throughout the US and Canada. One year later, she co-developed the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating & Yoga program to combine the two modalities that transformed her life. In 2021, she co-founded The Retreat Ladies: Inspired Wellness Journeys to provide a safe space for women to heal, connect, and improve their health and wellness.

Dawn currently owns and operates Inspiritus Yoga and co-owns and operates The Retreat Ladies where she helps people find healing, growth, and transformation through various modalities of yoga, mindful eating, wholistic wellness programs, yoga and wellness retreats. She also offers private healing and wellness services and speaks and writes on wellness and yoga topics regularly.
Dawn teaches, trains, and ministers to others with passion and purpose born of her own healing and transformation. She believes it is her life’s calling to help others in this way.
