Yoga for Special Populations
Yoga is meant to be accessible for EVERY body.
This course will take an in-depth look at creating a safe and welcome environment while teaching to students with a variety of unique needs, including older adults, those who have musculoskeletal limitations, larger bodies, and those who have chronic conditions.
Explore pose adaptations, adaptive practices like chair, wall, and restorative yoga, specialty class themes, and learn ways to make every individual feel comfortable in a thriving class environment. Taught by Dawn Hopkins, Master Yoga Instructor & Yoga Teacher Trainer and Yoga Therapist.
This course is open to yoga students and teachers. TWO certificate opportunities are offered for yoga teachers as well as a BONUS training in Anatomy for Special Populations. See below!
Yoga for Special Populations
Saturday, June 25
9 am – 5 pm PDT
Investment – $180 Students/$240 Teachers

This course is offered in a hybrid format – in-person in Chandler, AZ, online via Zoom, or self-paced by recording.
Price includes training and all course materials. Suggested reading materials are not included in the cost of tuition.
Yoga Teachers:
- TWO certificates are offered for teachers including Yoga for Special Populations and Chair Yoga.
- Bonus training offered in Anatomy for Special Populations when you register by June 6.
- Course offers a minimum of 8 YACEP (Yoga Alliance) CEUs and 300/500 hour M-AYST Candidates.
- Additional CEUs and M-AYST hours provided upon completion of homework (required for Certificate(s) and M-AYST candidates).
- Applies toward a specialty in Yoga Therapy or Yoga Wellness Coaching for M-AYST Candidates.
