Dawn has been helping people along their health and wellness path since 2002 when she co-owned and operated a women’s fitness studio where she helped over 4,000 women achieve improved health and wellness. Her commitment to excellence and entrepreneurship earned her the Palo Verde Business Woman of the Year Award in 2007.

Dawn began taking yoga classes in 1997 to counter the effects of years of athletics on her body. She didn’t enjoy yoga at first, but kept going to classes anyway. In 2004, she fell in love with yoga when she took her first faith-based yoga class. During that class, she had a profound spiritual experience on her yoga mat and discovered the healing and transformative power of yoga in her mind, heart, body, and spirit. Her passion for yoga continued to grow. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2006 and began teaching immediately thereafter. She soon discovered she also had a passion for training and equipping instructors and began training instructors in 2008 after receiving her first 500 hour master-level teacher training. In 2009, she founded The Living Well Retreats and began facilitating yoga and wellness retreats and assisting with yoga teacher training. In 2011, she co-founded a 501C3 non-profit yoga and wellness ministry called The Center for Living Well and launched their first 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. One year later, she completed her training in healing emphasis yoga and yoga therapy and opened a non-profit yoga and wellness studio. In 2017, she founded Inspiritus Yoga: Wholistic Wellness and Training Centers. She was nominated for the MASK Unity Award in 2018. Dawn is a firm believer that the teacher must always be the student, so she continues to make her own continuing education a priority.

Dawn currently owns and operates Inspiritus Yoga where she helps people find healing, growth, and transformation through various modalities of yoga, wholistic wellness programs, mindful eating, yoga teacher training, and continuing education. She also offers private healing and wellness services, facilitates yoga and wellness retreats, and speaks and writes on wellness and yoga topics regularly. Dawn teaches, trains, and ministers to others with passion and purpose and believes that her own healing and transformation have become her life’s calling. She feels honored and blessed to help others in this way.
