Founder & President of Inspiritus Yoga/Co-Founder of The Retreat Ladies
Dawn Hopkins is the Founder and President of Inspiritus Yoga: Wholistic Wellness & Training Centers, an international yoga school and continuing education provider with training centers in Phoenix, Detroit, and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She is also the Co-Founder of The Retreat Ladies: Inspired Wellness Journeys, offering yoga and wellness retreats designed to help women rest, heal, and reconnect in a supportive and welcoming community.
With more than 24 years of experience in yoga, wellness, and fitness, Dawn holds both BA and MA degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is a certified Master Yoga Instructor, Yoga Teacher Trainer, Yoga Therapist, Thai Yoga Massage and Reiki Practitioner, and Licensed Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating Facilitator and Coach.
Dawn’s journey into wellness work began in 2002 as a personal trainer and co-owner of Curves Ahwatukee, where she helped more than 4,000 women improve their health and well-being. Her dedication and impact earned her the Palo Verde Business Woman of the Year Award in 2007.
Although Dawn first came to yoga in 1997 to help ease the effects of years of athletics on her body, what she discovered was something far deeper—the powerful ability of yoga to bring healing, hope, and transformation. She completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2006 and quickly realized she was not only passionate about teaching, but also about mentoring and equipping others to share these practices. Since then, she has trained and supported countless yoga teachers and wellness professionals through teacher trainings, continuing education programs, retreats, workshops, and private healing work.
Over the years, Dawn has founded and led several wellness-centered organizations and programs, including The Living Well Retreats, The Center for Living Well, Inspiritus Yoga and The Retreat Ladies. Through her work with Inspiritus Yoga and The Retreat Ladies, she now offers classes, retreats, workshops, trainings, and wellness experiences locally, nationally, and internationally.
At the heart of everything she does is a deep passion for helping people experience healing, growth, and meaningful transformation. Dawn believes wellness should feel approachable, supportive, and accessible to everyone. She is committed to creating spaces where people feel seen, encouraged, and empowered as they reconnect with themselves and move toward greater balance and wholeness.
Dawn continues to invest in her own healing and personal growth, believing that when we care for ourselves well, the positive impact extends outward to our families, communities, and the world around us.
